Bachelor of science and doctor of dental surgery.
Why did you choose this career?
I love working with my hands and I care about people.
What do you like the most about your career, and the least?
I love to give people confident smiles and I don’t like dealing with dental insurance.
What advice do you wish someone would have shared with you before entering your career?
My mom was a dentist and shared a lot with me but there was no way to know for certain until I went into it. I would tell students now to learn social media, dental photography, and more of the business aspects of dentistry.
Do you have any tips or advice for people considering this field for their profession?
Learn to gracefully accept criticism.
How did you manage your stress and workload during school?
I do monthly stress counseling and I also work out daily.
Name one of your favorite experiences during your time studying or working?
There are so many good ones. I always get a little teary eyed when patients cry when they first see their smiles.
What are some helpful materials/resources you used to study and prepare for your board or license exams?
It has been 10 years and probably not going to be helpful anymore.

What makes you SMILE?
There are so many things to smile about. Is it weird if i say that giving people smiles makes me smile?
